Your adventure begins early in the morning at around 6:00 AM when your professional Sauti Africa Explorers driver-guide picks you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. After a short briefing about the safari, you will begin the approximately 8–10-hour scenic drive to southwestern Uganda.

You may choose to take a short walk around the lodge, enjoy the forest views, listen to the sounds of birds and the forest, or simply rest after the long journey.
Dinner will be served at the lodge where you can discuss the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure with your guide. Your guide will explain the trekking procedures, what to expect, and the items you should prepare for the trek.

After the briefing, your trekking adventure begins. Accompanied by armed ranger guides and trackers, you will hike through dense forest, muddy trails, valleys, and steep slopes in search of your allocated gorilla family.
The trek can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on the movement and location of the gorillas. Along the way, you may encounter:
Once the gorillas are found, you will be allowed to spend one full hour in their presence. This is an extraordinary moment where you can quietly observe:
